I am feeling really happy to start the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge and hope it will bring light to your life. Gratitude is a practice that transforms life and moves us closer to well-being. When you initially start practicing gratitude, you may wonder when you will see the change and how it will make any difference in your life. But with time, you will notice that you have started forming a positive approach towards life and situations.

The way we face hardships in our lives, we often ignore the blessings and do not acknowledge them. When you stop feeling grateful, you will feel that there is nothing good happening in your life, and darkness of self-doubt and doubt in the divine starts creeping into your soul.

Practicing gratitude is like looking up at the sky and noticing the stars that exist in the darkness. They shine in the dark, and cannot be seen in the light. Now the choice is yours whether you want to dwell upon the existence of the darkness or cherish the light of the stars.

When I started this challenge, I believed that it would surely help those who want to improve their way of looking at their life and restore peace and humility in their lives. It is not easy to practice daily but if you remain consistent, you will surely reward yourself with inner happiness and it will give you the strength to deal with the hardships.

5 effective ways to thank someone

  • Send a surprise gift or handmade gift

If the person you want to thank loves surprises, then this is one of the effective ways to make their day memorable, bring a smile to their face, and express your emotions of gratitude

  • Send a “Thank you” note

This works more effectively when you are closely staying near each other. Thank you notes can be put on a sticky note and added to their mirror or put on their lunch box lid. You can also buy a thank you card and put them on their desk in case of colleagues. Another way to share thank you notes is to message them in case they are far away from you.

You can also add a note, and some of your old pictures, and add them to your story on social media. Tag them and let them feel special. You never know you might have helped someone to have a nice day.

  • Call them and let them know

    You can directly call them and express your gratitude for their help. It is a very personal way of thanking them. It is not always easy to do it and it shows effort on your part that you chose to give your valuable time to appreciate someone.

    • Cook their favorite meal or take them out for lunch or dinner

    You can always become the chef and cook them their favorite meal or something sweet. It shows the effort on your part. If you are not a great cook, then you can try taking them out to eat somewhere they might like to go and a cuisine they like to eat. Make it memorable for them.

    • Offer to help them

    Ask them if they need help with something. It will show that you are caring and empathetic towards them. This shows that you are attentive and take notice. It brings out a helping nature in you.

    Today is the day you can choose at least 3 people you can thank with anything. It can be as simple as preparing breakfast, writing a note to them, a wildflower gift, or simply a confession.

    How you want to say thanks is up to you. When you do say thank you, do not expect anything in return. This will help you learn the lesson of unconditional love. You feel grateful that you have such wonderful people in your life.
