Day 2 – Gratitude Challenge – Be aware of 5 things around you that are important

Welcome to Day 2 of the Gratitude Challenge. Most of us are there but not truly present in our lives. If you think about it now, you will realize that your mind drifts back and forth between the past and the future. You are not truly there in the present moment and everything around you is taken for granted because you do not realize how important they are unless they are not there in your surroundings. It can be people, or things that you use daily.

Most of us are so busy juggling multiple things at a time that we do not appreciate or feel grateful for the small things that are present in our lives. Why don’t you stop thinking about everything else and try reading this article without losing focus? It will not be possible and your mind will wander to other thoughts. There are so many thoughts in our head and we are so occupied with that, we seldom get a chance to feel the gratitude of having something in our life.

30-Day Gratitude Challenge

Have you ever looked around you and thought how wonderful your life is with those things that are present right now and it does not have to be fancy? It can be as simple as your table clock or it can be that laughing Buddha someone gifted you or that indoor plant. It can be anything that you have added to your life.

The challenge for today is to be aware of the important five things around you. You might have more than that or you may realize you are struggling to list any. Just look around, be present, and feel the presence of everything around you. How does each of the things make you feel? If it makes you feel good, write it down as your blessing and if it makes you feel bad or burdened, then let it go. Make your surroundings as pleasing and happy as you can.

Once you have listed down the five things, add a note in your diary about today’s challenge and write down how it made you feel. Gratitude is about how you appreciate things that you have in your life right now rather than complaining about things you do not have. When you feel grateful truly from your heart, you see the abundance in your life and feel it. It makes your life more abundant. You start attracting good things in your life because you are no longer in the energy of lack but in the energy of abundance.
