Day 3 – Gratitude Challenge – Strangers you meet

Welcome to the Day 3 of the Gratitude Challenge. We often meet strangers while traveling or going somewhere new, like joining college, a nearby coaching class, or a workshop. When we go to a new place like going to a workshop, we hardly know anyone and feel anxious about getting judged and how we will make it in the workshop with strangers.

But you will soon realize most of them feel the same way as you and need your support as much as you need their support. You begin to have conversations, introduce yourself, and soon find a few people who become friends. Always feel gratitude for those strangers who make you feel safe and support you when you feel worried and alone.

You can see the entire list of the 30-Day Gratitude Challenge in the below link:

30-Day Gratitude Challenge

Recently I went on trekking with a travel group and there were approximately 20 members in the group. I was alone and went to enjoy the trip on my own. Soon I met people who also came alone and we had great conversations. We had a lot of fun and we helped each other during the entire trekking experience.

Strangers we meet can also be someone who we just met for some time but have helped you in some way. While traveling we talk to the nearby family, share our food, and have age-old conversations about life and family and anything that comes at the moment. We should be grateful for those people too who make our journey comfortable and help us when we need them.

When we go on a date, we are technically meeting a stranger who later on can become the special someone if things go well between you too. The people who are our best friends today were strangers too. Explore life and add new experiences. Make new friends and find those people who are grateful to have you as a friend too.

Take your diary and list down all the people who you met in the last 1-3 months and how they have impacted your life in good ways. If you had bad experiences too with strangers, write it down on a separate page which you can later throw out in the dustbin.

Once you complete this challenge, whenever you feel low or feel like there is no hope, this journal or diary will help you give that spark back to carry on with life with new goals. Gratitude practicing is all about making our mind look at the good things because in life we surely have good things but we are so occupied with the missing things in our life that we seldom look at our blessings.

Also while taking this challenge, be fully present and feel the emotions so that you are aware of your life and things happening around you.
